Arohan Privacy Policy

Overview

Arohan is a learning app that requires a user account so your progress and streak sync across devices. We collect the minimum data needed for that to work and nothing else. We do not sell or share your data with advertisers, and we do not use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.

Data We Collect

When you create an account or sign in, we collect:

• Email address — used as your account identifier and for important service notices (subscription receipts, password resets).
• Display name — only if you sign up with email and password. Sign in with Apple and Sign in with Google return whatever name you choose to share with the app; you can edit it inside Arohan.
• User identifier — an internal account ID used to associate your progress with your account.
• Product interaction — lessons you complete, cards you save, your active roadmap, your streak. We use this to render your library and progress views, not for profiling.
• Purchase history — whether you have an active Arohan Pro subscription or per-roadmap purchase, so we can unlock the right content on every device you sign in on.

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used only to deliver the app — sync your progress, render your library, verify your subscription, send daily-reminder push notifications you have opted in to, and respond to support requests. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or training third-party models.

Where Your Data Lives

Account data, progress, and purchase records are stored in Supabase, our backend provider, in their EU-hosted infrastructure. Subscription state is also synchronised with RevenueCat, our purchase-management provider, which forwards events from Apple's App Store. Both providers are bound by their own privacy commitments and data-processing agreements with us.

Third-Party Services

• Supabase — authentication and database (storage of your account, progress, purchase records).
• RevenueCat — subscription management (validates your Arohan Pro subscription with Apple's App Store and keeps your unlock state in sync across devices).
• Apple Sign in with Apple and Google Sign-In — optional sign-in methods. We receive only the basic profile information you agree to share at the prompt.
• Cloudflare Stream / R2 — hosts lesson videos, audio, and images. Standard request logging applies.

Arohan does not use any advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, or social-media tracking pixels.

Your Rights

You can delete your account from inside the app at any time (Profile → Settings → Delete Account). Deleting your account permanently removes your account row and all associated progress, saved cards, notes, and purchase records from our database. If you have an active Apple subscription, you must cancel it separately in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions — deleting your account does not cancel App Store billing.

You can also email us to request data export or correction.

Children's Privacy

Arohan is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under that age. If we learn we have, we will delete the data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
